It is funny how life works. I have been going through the motions of working-out and watching what I eat but my heart really isn’t in it. Thanks to my best friend who is inspiring me to keep with it and stay strong.
After reading Jody’s blog the other day about her trip to a Bikram Yoga studio opened my eyes. I haven’t done yoga in years especially Bikram. I have become addicted to Nia classes and my cardio/weight lifting. She first introduced me to Bikram about 5 years ago and I am forever in her debt. As I was reading her blog it was like we were talking on the phone and she was telling me to find a class.
So, I went to a class today. It kicked my butt! I had trouble with some of the poses especially the toe stand. I don’t think in my entire life I am going to be able to do it correctly. ☺ There was something about the final dead body pose when I realized (even though Jody has told me time & time again) the Universe is taking me where I am supposed go.
Thank Jody. Thank you for always supporting me, pushing me when I need to be pushed, and doing that last shot when we should have stopped hours ago. ☺
I love you.

j~
I remember years ago when I took a Bikram class and I was laughing so hard because my body just wouldn't move in the right way and I felt like such a klutz. I kept falling over till finally the instructor made me stand by a wall for support so I wouldn't injury myself or others. Jody found the Bikram class in my town and sent me the schedule. I just have to work up my, "what I'm not embarrassed courage" and try again!
Good for you for going!
Carol
Linda - You could totally do Bikram. If I can YOU can! Have Jody take you to a class. You will love it. I think it is the perfect outing for you girls. :)
Jody - It was a very hard decision to go to that class but I heard you over and over "Oh, just go. What else are you going to do today?" LOL Thanks J. I love ya & when you make it up here to PDX the Bikram is on me and the shots are on you. ***kiss***
Carol - I am the biggest klutz in the world. Both of my knees are shot and completely blown out from skiing and mountain bike accidents so I have trouble reaching back and grabbing my feet. I get to stand next to the wall!! Be proud to be a wall stander! Not everyone can have our natural grace. LOL I really think all you girls need to go to Bikram class together. You would have so much fun. :)
